I’m a writer, a mother, a wife.

Me At The Red House

I love to cook but more importantly I love to eat and drink.  I’m one of the few people I know who makes dinner (sometimes multiple courses!) nearly every single night.  I’ve been cooking since college and was the only person to ever use the stove in the communal kitchen in my dorm.  I probably should have gone to cooking school but I didn’t.  I know I should have moved to California but I didn’t.

Besides cooking, I love to eat in “heavy hitter” restaurants and I love to travel.  France, Italy and Northern California are some of my favorite destinations.   My sister site, www.eathappy.net has loads of restaurant reviews, travel and food stories. Read them, they’re funny.

There are also some early stories about The Red House Project on the www.eathappy.net site, too.

I’m slowly but surely learning how to renovate this house with the love and help of my husband, Lynn.  He is my go-to-guy for design ideas plus he eats everything I cook for him.  So far it’s been an adventure.  I like adventures.

Julie! I meant to say hello earlier, but we were at our cabin with no internet. You know how it goes. Anyway, thanks for stopping by my blog, and we’ll have to all get together next spring/summer. The red house is adorable!

Take it easy on your poor old father. After reading his account of a long weekend painting and fence-building, I’m beat–and it’s only noon.
